R.A. MacLeod-Argue

Reginald Angus Argue is a Canadian Armed Forces peacekeeping veteran, author, and former FM radio and video talk show host.

In 1988, during his military service, Reginald was deployed overseas on a UN Peacekeeping Tour of Duty in Iran. That same year, the United Nations was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of the efforts of peacekeepers like Reginald and countless others who stood firm in defending peace in various conflict areas around the world.

Since then, he has faced ongoing challenges related to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Even though he faces many challenges, he has shown strong resilience by facing each day with determination.

Reginald Argue published a book in August 2025. The book titled “Halfway Between Success and Madness” under the name R.A. MacLeod-Argue. Each composition, short story, and poem invites readers into the compelling narrative of his journey, making his reflections both engaging and inspiring. In his book, “Halfway Between Success and Madness,” Reginald shares his transformation from age 19, when he joined the military, through his UN Tour of Duty overseas in Iran in 1988.

From late 2006 until November 23, 2010, Reginald hosted and co-hosted multiple talk radio shows on Co-operative Radio, a Vancouver FM station that initially broadcast on 102.7 and later on 100.5 FM.

His work shows a strong dedication to social and indigenous justice. During this time, he met with esteemed guests from around the world, including the late U.S. Senator Mike Gravel, former MI5 agent Annie Machon, journalist Harvey Oberfeld, and the late retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Robert Bowman.

Between July 2011 and early 2018, Argue embarked on an enlightening journey, conducting captivating video interviews. He and his wife formed a dynamic partnership that brought these conversations to life.

Reginald interviewed several remarkable individuals. This included actor and director Enrico Colantoni, who was with his wife Rosanna. He also spoke with Canadian actress and producer Tonya Lee Williams, the founder of the Reelworld Film Festival, Nicole Servinis, an Associate Producer for ET Canada, and Mark Adler, a former Canadian Federal Member of Parliament for York Center, among others.

Currently, he remains an active contributor to Veterans World Magazine, and now he is part of The Late Night Veteran Show Ltd (Group). Reginald is also working on various other writing projects.

In April 2011, Argue generously donated a hockey stick to the Vancouver Canucks’ organization, a prized possession he had won back in 1971.

The stick was autographed by the original players from that era. Attached is a photo from the donation night featuring the first Team Captain, Orland Kurtenbach, alongside Reginald and the historic hockey stick at Rogers Arena’s Forever Canucks display.

That evening, Argue felt assured that the stick had found its rightful place, where countless generations of hockey enthusiasts would appreciate it for decades.
